Rice transplanter is one of the important mechanizations of agriculture product, it ispaid great attention by nation. However, researchers didn’t make an overall analysis athome and abroad. This subject is from the project of corporate, its main content is tomake the finite element analysis and optimal design of hand-held type rice transplanterchassis structure. Its strength can meet the needs of users based on doesn’t increase orincrease less cost, and enhance the safety factor to2as far as possible at the rated load.This article has created the finite element model of the structure by ANSYS, andparameterized the parts which can turn up big stress, right to apply loads and constraints,made the finite element analysis for its four typical work conditions and plant conditionsof the transplanting mechanism, obtained the stress distribution under various conditions.Then reasonable selected the design variables according to the big stress parts, definedobjective function, created an optimization mathematical model, through adopted themethod of combining ANSYS software with Guide-Weight method to optimize, obtainedthe optimal solution. Finally, made finite element analysis of optimize results once again,verified its correctness, thus completed the optimization design of the entire structure.During optimal design, this article didn’t choose the optimal method of ANSYS,instead of used Guide-Weight method to make the optimization. Guide-Weight methodhas the advantages of fast convergence and good optimal result, and suits to large-scalestructural optimization calculation. This model got the optimal result only through seveniterations, it saved the time, and its advantage also be reflected by the use of this article.Through finite element analysis, it obtained the stress distribution under the variousconditions, and found the weak links such as three tubes, transmission and bridge decktransitional junction and so on. These weaknesses have been optimized which to reducestress as the goal, optimal result was obtained, and made the finite element analysis onceagain, the optimal result met the requirements by contrast. Maximum stress of thisstructure declined from303.365MPa to116.567MPa, and safety factor had been raised to2after optimization, the total weight of optimized model was27.749Kg, it didn’tincrease compared with the27.755Kg before optimization, so it met the requirements.This research has improved the strength of the structure, met the needs of businessesand users, and provided a good reference for the development and research of newproduct in the future, had important theoretical and practical significance.
