Currently, lack of affaction, abnormal heat, breeding failure often, the return ofaffection, abortion, stillbirth, less production and low survival rate of weaning piglets, breeding obstacles of the sow has being popularly existed in pig industy in China. It hasbecoming prominent which troubled pig industry and has caused important economiclosses. Therefore, how to improve the breed performance of the sow has becoming thekey of today’s research. This study is based on the records between2010and2011of a pig farm inXinxiang. As a practical matter of the pig farm, parts of the influence factors of the sowfarrowing performance has been considered in order to find the way to increase littersize, reduce stillbirth, improve breeding benefit and increase the production. The maincontents including:1. According to the record of the sow, variety, parity, breed Statistical wereanalysed respectively. The results showed that: the average litter size, and the averageper litter in several live young of Landrace and Yorkshire pig were significantly higherthan that of Duroc; The sow litter size from the first child gradually began to increase, the sixth child reached the highest, and then began to fall; different months breed had nosignificant effect on the sow farrowing performance.2. Choose different time for hybrid, the results showed: the sows mating for thefirst time in the morning, and its fertility rate, parturition rate, the average litter size, andthe average per litter in several live young respectively were88.2%,85.2%,12.31headand11.16head, the sow mating for the first time in the afternoon, and its fertility rate, institutional, the average per litter size, and the average per litter in several live youngrespectively were84.1%,81.8%,11.87head and10.89head; after the significantinspection, the two groups of fertility rate and institutional were significant difference(P<0.05), the two groups of the average litter size, and the average per litter in several live young were no significant difference (P>0.05).3. The sows with uterine inflammation were treated respectively with ceftiofursodium(Group A), compound hydrochloric acid (Group B)and penicillin(Group C),and the results showed that: effective rate, cure rate, fertility rate and the average perlitter size of Group A were85.7%,78.6%,90.9%and11.49head, effective rate, curerate, fertility rate and the average litter size of Group B were82.1%,75%,90.5%and11.49head; cure rate, fertility rate and the average litter size of Group B were litter sizewere71.4%,60.7%,88.2%and11.37head. After the significant inspection, effectiverate and cure rate between Group A and Group B were significant difference (P<0.05),effective rate and cure rate between Group A, Group B and Group C were no significantdifference (P>0.05), fertility rate and the average litter size between three experimentgroup and control group were no significant difference (P>0.05); these showed thatthree groups drugs were effective, and in this pig farm the treatment effect of ceftiofursodium and compound hydrochloric acid with visitors is better than that of penicillin, but fertility rate and the average litter size of sows cured would not be affected.4. The fertility rate, parturition rate, average litter size, average birth weight ofpiglets, and the survival rate of piglets were higher in sows which treated with dug thanuntreated sows. It has improved10.3%,11.7%,0.05head,0.08kg and7.4%,respectively. The diarrhea piglets rate was reduced by19.2%. The significant inspectionshowed that the fertility rate, parturition rate, the average litter size, diarrhea piglets rateand the survival rate in tow groups were significant difference (P<0.05), and the averagebirth weight in tow groups was not significant difference (P>0.05). The resultsdemonstrated that the drug treatment can improve the farrowing performance of the sow.
