| The emergence of Chinese Pagoda is generated by the introduction of Buddhism. It is the combination of Chinese original architectural style and foreign culture, not only embodies the profound Chinese architectural technology, but represent the ancient culture of our acceptance of foreign culture in the opening and open-architecture,it occupies a very important position in the history of our country.China is one of the high incidence of earthquake in the world. Earthquake damage coupled with the erosion of wind and rain all year round has brought great impact on structrual performance of the preserved Pagodas. Ancient Masonroy Pagodas are built of brittle materials, its seismic behavior is far less than modern structures, therefore, the seismic protection of pagoda is undoubtedly very important. This article reads as follows:1. On Chinese ancient Pagodas of the origin and development, and describes a series of factors on the damage to the pagoda.2. In view of the disaster situation of ancient masonroy pagodas from Shannxi guanzhong district after Wenchuan earthquake which happend in May 12,2008, investigating the seimic disaster of these pagodas, and analysing the characteristics and causes of them.3. The paper take Taiping Temple Pagoda from Qishan county as object of study, the use of finite element analysis software ANSYS to establish the 3D solid finite element analysis model of the pagoda, then obtain the natural vibration period and frequency by modal analysis. 4. To make a preliminary experience judgement on Taiping Temple Pagoda with traditional "comprehensive exponent method".5. Inputing EL-centro wave, Taft wave and Lanzhou artificial wave on the model, the paper analysed the earthquake response of Taiping Temple Pagoda though time-histroy analyse method, and then judged the seimic behavior of Taiping Temple Pagoda with ultimate displacement and bearing capacity method.6. According to seimic damage characteristics of some ancient masonroy pagodas from Shannxi guanzhong district after earthquake, combined with reinforcement exmple of previous pagodas, finally probing into the reinforcement scheme of Ancient Masonroy Pagodas. |
