Along with the high-speed development of our national economy, the aging society is closing to us, and the elderly wheelchair will have a great demand, comfort of wheelchair is the primary consideration to wheelchair users, However, none has made special studies on the comfort of aged wheelchair evaluation system so far, so the research about wheelchair comfort evaluation system is very significant. There are lots of researches on comfort of vehicle seat and ordinary seat, they are related to the human body posture physiological characteristics, and the comfort is the same between car seat and wheelchair in the working principles and research methods.Comfort of wheelchair is the subjective evaluation of the wheelchair users, it is a multi-level and multi-factor problem, such as wheelchair itself, environmental factors and physiological factors and so on, but it is very difficult to evaluate it with the general method, so we should construct a evaluation system, which a large number of interconnected and restricted factors become crutched and hierarchical. In this thesis, based on the relationship between human body pressure of ergonomics and comfort of wheelchair, we studied the relationship between pressure distribution and the value of evaluation of comfort through the experiment.11volunteers are measured in the experiment of Tekscan pressure distribution measurement system. In this experiment, we distilled the data of pressure distribution and the value of subjective evaluation of the experimenters. We established a wheelchair comfort network model by using prediction function of BP network. We regarded the pressure distribution data as input, subjective evaluation as output, and got a model through the toolbox function newff (), which comes with Matlab. Comfort of wheelchair can be predicted through the pressure distribution, and connect the subjective evaluation and objective measurements together.We constructed the evaluate indicator and criteria about comfort of wheelchair according to Delphi method, and then established an expert questionnaire on wheelchair comfort according to the theory of analytic hierarchy process. By seeking advice from the professors, doctors and wheelchair users, we determined the weight of each indicator of the comfort. Ultimately we determined evaluate mathematical model of the comfort, and then compared with neural network prediction model. The results demonstrated that the two models for the evaluating results were close to the subjective evaluating result, but the predictive error of the neural network model was smaller.
