| With the suitable economical characteristics and superior feature, intercity railway has been facing a period of rapid development. The research of intercity railway net scale is an important component of intercity railway planning. Reasonable and suitable intercity railway net scale can not only fulfillment the needs which the net should meet under different circumstances of short term, long term and prospect term, but also guarantee and guide the development of metropolitan area, drive the proceeding of urbanization, avoid the resource waste caused by duplicate construction, define the ridership of different transportation modes, and realize the sustainable development. Under the background above, this paper put forward the method for the measurement of intercity railway net scale from the angle of net planning. To simplify the narration, this paper defined the planning proper scale as proper scale.First, this paper collected and analyzed related literatures and summarized the service scope, operating characteristics, function orientation of intercity railway, then gave the definition of intercity railway.Secondly, the paper summarized the main contents, principles and methods of the network planning of the intercity railway in recent terms, and the network planning of the regional intercity railway that China has approved. Analyze the meaning of the scale of the network and its influencing factors. Subsequently, this paper analyzed the relationship of intercity railway network development and planning in different terms, elaborated the meaning of pursuing reasonable size of line network planning, discoursed the calculations methods and problems of reasonable size at this stage, proposed that a proper planning scale should be determined in accordance with planning requirements and defined the meaning of research on proper scale.Then, the paper researched on the determination in the proper scale of the network of the regional intercity railway network based on the studies above. The objective of this paper is to realize the proper scale of intercity railway network fully contact passenger flow collector-distributor points which with good socio-economical characteristic in the area, as far as possible to meet the demand of regional intercity, to support and to guide the development of urban agglomeration spatial structure, as well as guaranteeing the sustainable development of the network as the goal. Then effects of service nodes, urban agglomeration spatial structure and the demand of intercity on the proper scale were analyzed from the aspects of "point, line and area". Among them, the research about the effects of service nodes, which was based on statistical methods, statistical analyses the cities with built or under construction intercity rail service of our country, qualitative analogy analyses the socio-economic characteristics of the planning network service nodes. The research about the effects of the city spatial structure, which was based on spatial structure analysis and input-output theory, elaborated the mechanism how intercity social economy structure and industrial structure affects size and its quantitative influence degree. The research about the intercity demand influence, which was based on demand analysis and financial analysis, quantify the influence of intercity demand on size planning and expounds the mechanism. With considering the above factors’influence on the appropriate scale of intercity railway network planning, this paper built a model which had mathematics expressions that reflect an authentic situation. Then, the paper worked out an answer of the model by using Genetic algorithm in operational research.In the end, this paper verified the feasibility and rationality of the research content by setting a case combined the research content in this paper determined the latest Chong Qing-Cheng Du agglomeration intercity railway net scale by collecting and statistic ling related planning states about Chong Qing-Cheng Du agglomeration intercity railway network. |
