With the development of national economy and the requirement of national life, long-span roof structure has developed rapidly. It becomes the first choice for some kinds of large-scale public buildings, such as railway station, airport terminal, gymnasium and exhibition hall. Long-span roof structure possesses these characteristics of light quality, fine flexibility, small amortization and low natural vibration frequency, so that wind load has become one of the control loads in the structural design. The related specifications of shape factor of wind load, wind fluttering factor and stuff in China are only for high-rising building. The theoretical study of long-span roof structure is not optimized; the relative design parameters have to be obtained by test.This thesis takes Chongqing Railway North Station as research object to perform an experiment on rigid model based on wind tunnel test. Adopting the wind tunnel test data to process and calculate shape factor of wind load, wind fluttering factor and so on, and studying the pedestrian level wind environment. Moreover, using the finite element software to analyze the wind-induced vibration responses.Main contributions contain:(1) The development of large span-roof structure home and abroad, calamities by wind, characteristics of near ground wind and main research methods of wind engineering are elaborated.(2) Some information about the rigid model wind tunnel test, including model making, equipment using, measuring points distributing, data processing and results analyzing are introduced. And then the related distribution rules of wind pressure on the surface of large span-roof structure are concluded.(3)Pedestrian level wind environment is measured by using probe. Relative test principles and the method of data processing are articulated.(4)The calculation methods of wind-induced vibration response are discussed. After establishing the finite element analysis model, processing the wind tunnel test data and analyzing the results, the wind fluttering factors of Chongqing North Station are obtained.
