Collision has always been important research objects of experts and scholars both at home and abroad. As one of the main types of maritime traffic accidents, once collision accident occurred, there is no doubt that life and property will be threatened. Collision related research has developed from many aspects by experts at home and abroad. However, quantitative calculation of collision risk analysis for a specific waters remains to be further studied. The probability and the consequences of ship collisions are influenced by various factors. What the important and difficult part this paper studied is how to mine the above influence factors effectively, set up evaluation system specifically, calculate probability and consequence of collision, build risk matrix reasonably, and to determine the acceptable risk criteria, analyze the collision risk quantitatively. This paper synthetically uses fuzzy relational analysis, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, Matlab curve fitting method and rough set theory and so on, processes and analyses the ship collision accident data of Dalian port and its nearby waters. Referred to IMO guidance documents, this paper finally establishes the ship collision risk analysis model of Dalian port and its nearby waters. This model can provide service for ships sailing in Dalian port and its nearby waters to judge collision risk level. In this case, they can make reasonable adjustment timely to ensure the safety of navigation of the ship. Of course, with related parameters modified, the model can be widely used in other waters.
