With the development of high-speed rail network high-speed emu has a broad application prospectthe emu’s bogie operated under long distancehigh density and high strength it was key component of the emu And wheels of bogie is in direct contact with the rail and in complex loadingso it is easy to be out of order such as poor brim abrasion Wheel diameter difference and tread strip damageall these will have Adverse effect on the safe operation of the emuso it is need to lath the wheel-set so as to keep the normal geometric parameters of the wheel-set. While the purchasing cost of the wheel-set of is in china is high if the unfit lathing strategy is adopted it will made the wheel-set accelerating wear or increase the maintenance times and increase the cost.so the reaseach of wheel-set lathing streagy will be conducive to safe operation of emu and reducing the costso it have important academic value and project significance.Firstthe componet of wheel set was as the research object summarize main fault parameters of the wheel-set,the influence of the wheel-set diameter difference on traction drive system and running stability were analyzed; the wheel-set and it’s statistical rules are introduced.by analysing of the existing wheel-set-lathing strategies points out insufficient of individual considering a single bogie’s wheel-set diameter difference repair strategy taking into account the whole emu wheel-set diameter difference put the objective optimization function optimal solution as the goal establish the while emu wheel-set prewentive repair strategies.The characteristic of Wheel-set flange wear and it’s enffect on the stability of emu were analysed SPASS statistical software was used to realize linear regression analysis between flange wear and distance and the flange wear model was researched the correlation between flange wear and flange thickness was also analysed by SPASS Statistical software and establish the lathing model based on flange thickness recovery five threshold methods were simulated and analysed by matlab software.Geometry size of wheel-set tread was determined by flange thickness and diameter and also be constrainted by diameter difference so the prewentive repair strategies considered the whole diameter difference and flange thickness was reaserched but also the analysis and verification was given.
