At present,continuous box girder structure with single column pier is usually applied in China’s urban interchange and high-speed ramp curve bridges. This kind of structure have many advantages such as reducing the occupation of land, improving the substructure layout and increasing the vision and aesthetics of the bridges. However, this structure has occurred many overturning accidents in the process of using.In China, overloading is a common phenomenon, some individual vehicles even overload up to200%to300%, which cause many bridges to be overworked. Bridge design works in China usually focus on the bending resistance, shear capacity of the bridges. Lacking the concern for eccentric accidental overloading. Taking into account the defects of continuous bridges with single column pier, the main contents are as follows:(1) The bridge structure force under overload and external loading;(2) The bridge structure force under bearing expiration.;(3) The bridge structure force under earthquake.The purpose of this paper is to provide some engineering references.
