With the development of the electronic computer technique, Computer-aided Design is widely applied to railway location design. Railway location design is developing in the direction of digitization, integration, and intelligence. Interactive whiteboard is an electronic product based on the visualized technology and pattern recognition technology. If the interactive whiteboard which is a new kind of multimedia device can be applied to railway location design, designers can do the job of railway location design depending on the principles of railway location and their experience. Interactive whiteboard can make topographic map displayed on its screen with the visualized technology. Besides, with the pattern recognition, interactive whiteboard can get the information of plan routes which are drew on the whiteboard screen. After that, interactive whiteboard can digitalize the information and transmit it to computers. At last, computers can process the information and draw the plan map automatically. The combination of visualized technology, pattern recognition technology, automatic processing ability of computers, and creative thinking and experience of designers will make railway location design more efficient. Consequently, research on plan design principles and implementation technology of railway location based on the interactive whiteboard is significant.With the visualized technology, pattern recognition technology, human-computer interaction technology, and computer graphics technology, this thesis makes a deep research on plan design principles and implementation technology of railway location based on the interactive whiteboard. The main contents and achievements are listed below:1. With the module design method and Dynamic Link Library technology, this thesis researches on the interface of AutoCAD and interactive whiteboard and realizes the interactive operations between them.2. With the individual first method, this thesis researches on the fitting algorithm of the interactive whiteboard route based on the algorithm of Euclidean distance inflection point detection. Firstly, this thesis researches on all the algorithms which are needed to fit interactive whiteboard route one by one, and then combines all the algorithms to get the fitting algorithm. With regression analysis and least square method, the thesis researches on the algorithm of obtaining radius; with the relationship of curves in plan map and parameter equations of cubic parabola type easement curve, the thesis researches on the algorithm of obtaining the information of main control points in the routes; with functions in ObjectARX and parameter equations of cubic parabola type easement curve, the thesis researches on the algorithm of drawing lines, circular curves, and easement curves.3. This thesis calculates values of the curvature of yuan of massive sample points and draws the variation trend charts of these values. The values of three parameters in the fitting algorithm are determined through analysis of the variation trend charts. They are the number of point pairs, threshold value t and z.4. With the object-oriented programming method, this thesis finishes programs of fitting interactive sample curves and drawing railway location plan maps based on the ObjectARX2007, Visual Studio2005, C++, AutoCAD2007, and fitting algorithms. At last, this thesis tests the correctness of theories and methods.
