Applied Research On Regional Culture In Landscape Design

Nowadays,as the process of globalization and integration is accelerating, people communicate with each other frequently in the aspact of commercial trade, Internet information, history,culture and so on.And globalization not only bring many positive effects such as the economic prosperity, social development but also affect our city landscape. On the one hand, it promotes the communication of landscape industry and learning between our country and foreign countries. On the other hand, nowadays people in the landscape design field of China show a blind desire for big and vogue and architecture of European style is becoming more popular than before. This phenomenon reflect that we lack deep thought for how to plan our territorial landscape design and novel Chinese landscapes. After doing a lot of blind building, our living environment has lost many historical appeal and geographic affinity. Our culture, landscape and other fields have been copied and transplanted to a large extent which lead to the similar urban landscape style and a lack of local culture of its own characteristics. We become less insensitive to regional characteristics and our identity for the regional cultural presents a crisis. We realize that this is due to our neglect of regional culture in landscape design.Analysing from the relationship between the continuity of historical culture and the development of modern landscape,We find that the lack of regional culture in the contemporary landscape design is not only affected by globalization under the impact of westernization, but also reflects that the designers of our country lack a deep understanding of local cultural diversity. In modern landscape design, the research and application of regional culture should not be limited in the the selection of historical figures, ancient symbols and forms in a certain area. What also need to be considered and solved is the problem that how to deal with the relationship between the regional culture and all sorts of contradictions around, keep regional historical and cultural implication while conform with modern people’s diverse ways of living and their aesthetic demand, and avoid smilarity while meet the requirments of beauty and originality under the background of accelerating of the gobalization. Ultimately we can create modern landscape combined tradition with modernization,humanity with naturalilty,uniqueness with integration, regional with global So seeking national unique landscapes in globalization process is very benificial for discussing the content of regional culture.Based on the application of regional culture in landscape design, I combs the concepts of the regional culture, landscape design, the waterfront landscape and so on. Based on related theoretical experience, I have studied that the regional culture plays an important role in the gardening art, building houses, and discussed the value of regional culture in landscape design.I emphatically analyze the applicational carrier of the regional culture in landscape design, and study the regional culture’s role in the application of the constituting elements of landscape deeply. This essay is focused on discussing the regional culture’s applicational methods in waterfront landscape at the aspact of the selection and application of regional cultural symbols, the art style and the way of building the waterfront landscape of regional cultural characteristics. In this essay I take linyi as the object of regional research, study its natural environment and regional culture deeply, and make a relatively comprehensive and systematic analysis of a typical case which is an important reference in design practice. This paper will be ended by the analysis of planning and design of XiHe waterfront landscape zone.I will select regional symbols in military culture,Yimeng folk culture and landscape culture and through art creation, apply Ximeng culture to landscape design.And it further demonstrates the application of regional culture in landscape design practice. How can we conbine regional culture with modern landscape design ingeniously in order to make regional culture as a basic concept of landscape design get advocated, and creat the modern landscape space of regional and Chinese characteristics is the aim of the reseach in this paper.
