Because of a result of external force such as topographic variations or the disturbanceof airflow, moving objects would generate the corresponding oscillations and a change ofthe angle. This can cause fatal influence to the precision instruments. In order to removethis effect, two-axis stable platform is designed. This platform can segregate the disturbancewhen the carriers move so that the instrument obtain rapidly precise information. In recentyears, with the development of related technologies, horizontal stable platforms have awide range of development and application in the military and civilian areas at home andabroad. This thesis mainly introduces the control structure, system building, andself-correction control methods of the two-axis stable platform. And the contents of thethesis are as follows.First, we review the related literatures, study carefully the corresponding maintechnology, confirm the main function of the stable platform we will design, and constructthe general designing plan of this system.Second, we determine the hardware structure and working principle of the platform,build its physical model and get the componets of the various functional modules based ona servo system.Third, we research the building of three-dimensional attitude control block, dataacquisition of the inclinometer sensor, and the design of the tilt/roll control. We mainlyanalyse self-tuning control method of the gyroscopes and inclinometer sensors.Finally, we present the control algorithm and the programming, implementation andimprovement of the algorithm.
