With years of development, hydraulic technology has the advantages of working smoothly, controlling easily and good ratio of power to weight. However, the engineering machinery has entered a new stage of development since the1990S.The structure of hydraulic system is becoming more and more complex. The working intensity and control precision is becoming higher and higher. At the same time, the engineering machinery is constantly developing towards intelligent and electromechanical integration. Hydraulic technology is facing the competition with mechanical drive and electrical drive. Therefore, the performance of hydraulic technology need to be further consummated.Hydraulic testing technology as an important technology in the process of hydraulic technology development directly determines the overall level of the hydraulic technology development. This paper is based on the subject of research on the slide valve test system of steering pump, and proposes the visual test method, which intuitively displaying the slide valve working condition through the visual animation testing interface, on the basis of the traditional hydraulic valve testing technology. The main work of this paper includes:We calculated and derived the status parameters of slide valve theoretically, found out the internal relations between the parameters, and ensured that the displacement test of slide valve would be treated as the starting point of the test system designing. At the same time, we analyzed the principle and performance of the commonly used several kinds of displacement sensor. And according to the requirement of the test system for displacement measurement, we chose the differential electromagnetic type of displacement sensor at last.We designed the test system from the two aspects of hardware and software. The hardware mainly realized that convert the output of sensor from the analog signal to digital signal and send it to PC. The software mainly realized that receive the displacement data, process it, and eventually treat it as the action basis to drive the slide valve model of the visualization module. We carried out the displacement test experiments on the test system. On the one hand, we detected the condition that how the model of slide valve in the test system moved with the actual valve. On the other hand, we contrasted the displacement values of slide valve in the test system with the displacement values of digital display meter of the displacement sensor to determine the precision of the displacement testing process.The slide valve test system of steering pump designed in this paper is able to implement the visual and real-time displacement test of the slide valve, which is proved by the experimental research. The model of slide valve moves with actual valve sensitively and smoothly. The result of displacement test also has high precision. At the same time, the test system has a stable performance, working reliably and the operating interface is concise and explicit, which has laid a solid foundation for further development of the test system.
