The structure of hydrodynamic system of the waste-heat boiler for copper flash smelting is quite complicated. It is of significance to accurately master the boiler hydrodynamic performance for the optimization design of the product. In this article, the key techniques of the hydrodynamic performance design of a waste heat boiler for copper flash smelting was researched. The main tasks of this paper were as follows:1) The hydrodynamic model of the vertical serpentine tube water wall was proposed for the radiation chamber of a waste-heat boiler for copper flash smelting. The computing methods of the local resistance, frictional resistance and accelerations pressure drops of the vertical serpentine tube were studied based on the model, and the influence of vapor content variation caused by thermal load on gravity differential pressure was mainly discussed. Gravity differential pressure of U-tube was analyzed to enhance the understanding of the problem.2) The hydrodynamic model for analyzing flow distribution and pressure differential calculations was proposed for the parallel tubes with throttles. Also, methods of designing throttles were studied, as well as relationship of flow distribution and heat flux distribution.3) The throttles for the water wall of a waste-heat boiler for copper flash smelting were designed based on the master of the heat flux distribution of water wall by CFD technology. Then distribution characteristics of flow and outlet vapor content at the load of100%,75%or50%with or without throttles were studied, as well as the resistance characteristics and pulsation characteristics in variable working condition. Relevant characteristics and rules were mastered. At last, hydrodynamic performance of the waste-heat boiler for copper flash smelting was analyzed.Results show that the usage of models and methods proposed in this article can effectively improve accuracy and efficiency of the hydrodynamic performance design of the waste-heat boiler for copper flash smelting.
