Forklift takes an indispensable position in modern logistics. It’s necessary to make professional measurement for mast for that mast acts as the main unit of forklift,whether it performances good or bad has much relationship with forklift. Currently, It’s mainly use laser rangefinder to measure distance and velocity of the vertical movement of mast at home and abroad. The test cannot fully reflect the performance of forklift mast for the less test content.In view of this, the test system uses LED as light source, LED light source contains a number of advantages, such as a bright light source, small size, high luminous efficiency, long life, DC power supply, safe and reliable etc..There use hydraulic station to drive mast behaving lift, sway and tilt movement. At the same time, test system use the imaging principle, It makes cameras installed in the two-dimensional rotating stage, and then the camera tracks the LED and shoots trajectory of LED which moves with mast. Moreover, test system use accelerometers tilt sensor, tilt parameter information such as forward and back, left and right tilt parameter is transferred to computer through wireless Bluetooth technology. Using image analysis processing technology, combined with the results measured by accelerometers tilt sensor, it can analyze the image of different time and position to obtain height and speed of lifting of mast, automatically declining distance, tilt angle and the traverse distance of mast. At last, test system achieves complex automatic detection of mast.After the review of document and the research of measuring method, there design the overall framework of the comprehensive performance test system for mast of forklift. And there also research the system measurement principle, the mechanical installation of the mast, hydraulic station works as well as design of hardware circuit and software of the system. For the working system of hydraulic station, research how it can imitate running as a forklift in depth. And further drive a mast behaving lift, sway and tilt movement. In terms of hardware circuit design, there design the control circuit which makes51micro-controller as the core source. It achieves functions as LED power supply, two-dimensional rotating platform control, inclination detection and communication functions. The software part of the program mainly includes software design on computer and software design on micro-controller. PC software contains module as instrument configuration of test system and parameter calibration, serial communication, image acquisition and processing, measurement and data communication, data processing and display etc.. Micro-controller software achieves functions such as two-dimensional rotating platform rotation control, inclination data transmission and the works of hydraulic station. Through serial port, PCI interface and Bluetooth data transmission, PC and Micro-controller can communicate with each other.Make a comprehensive test of the system after the completion of system hardware and software design. And test results show that the system meets the design requirements and achieves measurements of the performance parameters of the mast.
