Electric Loading Simulator (ELS) is a half hardware-in-loop simulation system, which is used tosimulate the load torque of air on the aircraft rudder system in a lab environment. Due to the currentconstantly and strict requirements above the national defense, aerospace and other aircraft’s load accuracyand dynamic performance. This paper do a system design about electric load simulator.The paper achieved mainly the part the structural design and the controller hardware design of ELS,analyzed the causes of surplus torque of the ELS. A feed-forward compensation method which is based onPID control method was used to eliminate redundant force which is cause from the system. Then, the paperdesigned the controller hardware electric circuit which is based on the DSP and specified the minimumsystem of DSP and the control system peripheral circuit of DSP to achieve the control function of theloading system. Finally, in order to have flexible and good handling of the load simulator. The paperdesigned the software interface of ELS which used LabVIEW software to obtain user-friendly interactiveinterface. It is easy to control, monitor, analyze and save data and so on. In addition, the paper pointed outthe solution how to reduce the systematic interference of hardware circuit and software design.The paper used a feed-forward compensation control method to eliminate extraneous force insimulation experiment. From the simulation results, we can see that the system has played a good controleffect, and the results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the ELS design.
