With the development of information technology and the gradual improvement of society, intelligent household is stepping into people’s house. Intelligent lighting system, as one important subsystem of intelligent household system, taking advantage of electronic technology, the communication technology and computer network technology for various linking lighting appliance together, can realize effective management and control. The system has many advantages, such as high efficiency and energy saving, management simply, control diversification, low cost and easy to enter the market. In this paper, the DALI intelligent lighting system, which recently enters in market, has been chosen as research object. Propose appropriate solutions for intelligent lighting systems, and related product design and development. The development of the smart lighting situations as social trends, a comprehensive and pioneering work, accumulate experience for the development of the industry, providing new ideas and methods.With the deep understanding of the DALI protocol, based on the completion of the DALI system, this master-slave module design, the main control unit module and the control unit modules from the AVR MCU using the DALI control protocol software and hardware design, discusses how to achieve high Intelligent and reliable lighting control, a detailed analysis of DALI protocol works.
