Recently with the continuous development of intelligent power grid, there is a rapid increase in power consumption, meanwhile, the users’ requirement for the electric power quality is also high. The three-phase load voltage, current, power as well as harmonic parameters of the accurate measurement and specific way of meter reading also become the common concern among power departments and the users. Home and abroad researchers from many domestic research institutions conduct a study by means of the AD7755measuring chip. However, due to the limitation of the measuring parameters, harmonic parameters can not be measured. Therefore, it is necessary to search for a scientific, reasonable and effective method to solve the contradiction.This paper puts forward a type of new electric power capture and storage management design scheme based on MAXQ3180chip. The system is mainly composed of lower computer electricity parameter collection and preservation, data communication and PC data management components.The lower computer section is composed of SOC C8051F060microcontroller. MAXQ3180measurement chip. LCD1602liquid crystal display and the keyboard,while SOC has the function of a CAN communication and SP1interface. Measurement chip will measure the three-phase load voltage, current, power and harmonic parameters. Four line SPI communication will be used between SOC and measurement chip. It will transmit the parameters of electricity collected to MCU. The data collected by lower computer will be transmitted to a server far away through the GPRS communication module and CAN bus communication. and deposited in the database, guaranteeing the complete smoothness of communication.Making use of structured high-level programming language to manage the upper machine VB interface design, the parameters measured by measurement chip will be shown, and administrators and users can use and inspect this information in-time. Through the PC management, the function of automatic long-distance meter reading and monitoring will be realized.Finally, through the selection of chip, hardware, software as well as the design and the experimental inspection of part of PC management, it has been found that the design of electric energy monitoring system has such features as stability, simple operation, accurate measurement and high performance-cost ratio. The expected effect has been achieved. It will have a broad prospect of application in Chinese smart grid construction.
