The energy of biomass is a kind of promising renewable energy, however its lowcalorific value and low fixed carbon content result in low utilization efficiency in the heattreating. In addition, plastics is a kind of high calorific value and rich reserves resource, thegas quality could be improved greatly if plastics mixed with biomass. In the process ofbiomass and plastic co-gasification, corrosion and slagging often happen because of alkali andchlorine in the biomass, but gasification reaction also can be promote by these elements. Asbasic element of gasification reaction, C、H elements can influence the gasification reactiondirectly. In this paper, the rice straw were pretreat by different ways firstly, and then were mixedwith PE, the mixed material finally were used in TGA and fixed bed gasification experiments, the fixed bed experiments were main experiment. The results of TGA experiment show that:gasification efficiency is reduced because the rice straw was washed. The gasificationefficiency of rice straw and PE co-gasification is higher than linear combination of singlematerials gasification. When the sodium content is of0.11%to0.96%, the activation energyof gasification reaction is reduced and the gasification efficiency is improved with the sodiumcontent increasing. When the potassium content is less than0.35%, the gasification efficiencyis enhanced by the increase of potassium content. In CO2atmosphere, the gasificationefficiency is reduced by H/C ratio increase. In the fixed-bed gasification experiment, the experimental conditions were confirmed astemperature800°C, air flow0.6L/min by the study of the influence of temperature and airflow to the co-gasification. And the experiments to study the typical elements influence to theco-gasification show that: When sodium content is of0.11%to0.97%, the gas productionquality is improved by the sodium content increase, and H2yield increases by29.53NmL.When potassium content is less than0.35%, gas production quality is alsoimproved by increasing of the sodium content.Yield of H2, CO, CH4in gasification areenhanced by the chlorine content increasing when the chlorine content is less than1.72%.especially the volume fraction of H2augment by2.72%and the volume fraction of CH4augment by2.87%.The productivity of flammable gas are boosted by H/C ratio increasimg, when the H/C ratio is from1.736to1.816. and the gas calorific value is increased by1.42MJ/m3.At last, the fixed-bed experimental results were analysed by gray associationdegree theory to make certain of the main factor of the sodium conten, potassium content andthe H/C ratio, the result show that: The main factor which influences H2, CO, CH4yield andgas calorific value in the process of gasification is sodium conten.
