Biomass derived fuel (BDF) was made of biomass and plastics. BDF gasification iseffective method to utilize the biomass recourse, due to recycling both the waste energy andbiomass recourse efficiently. In this paper, the gasification mechanism of BDF was researchedunder micro and small controllable atmosphere experiment device.Gasification of BDFwhich was were made of blend rice straw with polyethylene、polyvinyl chloride and polyethylene terephthalate respectively in different proportionwasstudied by thermogravimetric under CO2atmosphere. The results show that the influence ofbetween biomass and different plastic is complex. Biomass pyrolysis was hindered by themelting plastic in the gasification process. There are synergy effects between plastic and ricestraw when both fuel gasification reactions occurs at the same time. Because the residuecarbon producted by plastic blocks semi coke pore, gasification of biomass char was hidered.By the kinetics analysis, first reaction stage (270℃-353℃) would to be first order reation, thesecond reaction stage (430℃-500℃) would to be second order reation, when the fuel influentother fuel, the Ea is low the weighted sum of pure fuel.BDF gasification was studied under steam atmosphere in a fixed bed. The results showthat CH4concentration is the highest in syngas of polyethylene gasification, while H2contentis the highest in syngas of biomass gasification. When the biomass derived fuel is1g, theactual steam flux value (e.g.,2.0g/min) was found to be the optimum value for gasification. When the temperature are850℃and900℃respectively, gas production yield are705mland732ml, the hydrogen production rate are12%and16.34%respectively.The influences of alkali element K/Na on gasification of BDF impregnated by Na2CO3/K2CO3were researched. washed by water. The results show that the alkali element promotesgasification of rice straw and BDF. When adjunct content of K element is2×10-4mol/g, theproduct gas volume of rice straw and biomass derived fuel are239ml and282ml, and whenthe adjunct content of K element is8×10-4mol/g, the product gas volume are268ml and449ml. The pure rice straw’s produce gas volume vs K element and product gas volume vs Naelement are18.28and27.56, and the biomass derived fuel’s gas volume vs K element and thegas volume vs Na element are28.76、45.91, both of the BDF gas volume vs K/Na is higher then the figure of pure biomass. Compared the influences of alkali element on biomass andBDF, we can find that the alkali element is not only promote biomass gasification, but alsopromote gasification of other fuel in BDF.
