Residential sunshade is very important means to enhance the indoor thermalcomfort and reduce summer air-conditioning energy consumption. Hunan is located inthe hot-summer and cold-winter zone in China, residential energy-saving designshould be met the dual requirement of summer-heat-preventing and winter-heat-preservation. Residential sunshade is undoubtedly the important and can not beignored measures of energy-saving in this region. When shading parameters change,sunshade thermal performance and residential energy consumption will bringcorresponding change, therefore, it is necessary to study the influence of residentialsunshade’s different sets parameters on sunshade’s performance and residentialenergy consumption.Firstly, this paper briefly introduces the climate characteristics in Hunanarea and related thermal requirement,and collected this region’s main city relevantmeteorological data, reveals the research background of increasingly prominentcontradiction between supply and demand of energy consumption in this region,analyzes the main reason of what residential sunshade design has been ignored, putsforward the significance of this paper and constructs the main frame of this paper.Secondly, summarizes the present situation of residential energy-saving inHunan area through on-the-spot investigation,probes the residence indoor thermalenvironment condition in this region, reveals the main weather parameters othernessbetween cities in this region, through questionnaire, this paper also summarizes theresidents’ overall-evaluation on summer indoor thermal environment, collects therelated policies and regulations about house-shading in this region, summarizes thetypical residential sunshade measures in this area.Again, this paper introduces the relevant background knowledge of indoorthermal environment and house-shading, and summarizes the study of indoor thermalcomfort evaluation model and house-shading coefficiency, defines the differentstructural parameters of each single shading methods such as the roof sunshade、window sunshade and wall sunshade. On this basis, By simulation analysis on changes situation of such index as indoor air temperature、surface temperature ofretaining structure、heat through retaining structure、winter heating and summerrefrigeration energy consumption、winter-summer comprehensive energy-saving rateand etc, paper analyzes and summarizes the suitable structure parameter values ofhouse-shading for climate characteristics in Hunan region.Finally, putting a real residential building in Changsha as an example, by usingthe best structure parameters value of sunshade determined in above study, establishesa "whole shading model", namely the model’s roof、outer wall、 outer window alsohas the best structure parameter setting value, analysises the difference of year-roundenergy-saving rate between shading-model or non-shading-model, probes into themost possible energy-saving rate of house-shading.
