Adaptability Research On The Hilly Urban Spatial Morphology

In consideration of some current issues like the casualness and homogenizationof the spatial development in the rapid development and construction of the urban, thethinking on the morphological development of hilly urban space is reflected, and theadaptability is inducted as the core theory to explain and promote the rational formof the urban space. The research methods of this article are theory summarizing andexample researching. I expand the adaptability in traditional Chinese humansettlement concept Flexibility to react quick change, which is the cut-in point ofthis research, and coordinate the features of hilly urban basic space in order toconform and advance the significant policies. Finally, I analyze the actual case toform the instructional methods and relevant technics of hilly urban spacemorphological development.Firstly, I put forward the background of this research and advance the necessityand significance of the research on hilly urban spatial morphology. It based on someissues such as how to reply the depravation of the natural environment and climate?How to meet the mandating of two types policy? How to reflect the need of urbanfeatures and urban morphology control theory? In my opinion, the urban spatialmorphology is the important carrier of the urban features. I bring forward the methodson how to dispute the issues of urban spatial morphology in order to embody theunique urban feature better.In the second part, after expatiating on the basic concept of urban spatialmorphology and adaptability theory, I explain the traditional Chinese humansettlement concept Flexibility to react quick change through concentrated effort totrace back to the discussion on adaptability of developments of modern urban space,and strongly emphasize the significance of the adaptability are suitable for therelationships between the urban space and natural environment.In the third part, I observe and study on the characteristics of hilly urban spatialelements. The elements consist of the landform, road, buildings, hills, waters and theecological features. All this elements are reflecting the basic characte rs of hilly urbanspatial morphology.In the fourth part, furthermore, in the terms of the third part, I integrate all thespatial elements to put up four essential strategies of hilly urban spatial morphology. They are protecting mountains and waters, structuring vibrant space system,appropriate traffic organization and creation of the urban space with regionalcharacters. We can use these policies to form the special hilly spatial morphology.In the fifth part, according to analyze the plan of Great area in west of theXiangjiang river in Changsha applying the strategies mentioned in the fourth part,the article sum up to the concrete control methods and measures to dominate andinduct the hilly urban morphology such as the boundary control, the form plan andso on.Finally, the article sum up the main viewpoint and advance the shortage andsuggestion of this research.All in all, the adaptability research on the hilly urban spatial morphology reflectsthe relations between human and nature. Human and the nature must respect eachother and be in harmonious, only in this way, our human society can sustainablydevelop forever.
