Quantitative Study On The Pattern Of Green Space System Of C-Z-T Urban Agglomeration

In late2007, Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration was ratified bythe State Council to become a―national resource-thrift and environment-friendlysociety‖and―comprehensive and complete reforming experimental district‖. With thesubsequent rapid urbanized development, the Regional Planning of C-Z-T UrbanAgglomeration (2008-2020) presented a coping strategy of―Green-heart cluster‖forpreventing environment deterioration at the juncture zone of the three cities.Effective is the strategy, however, more complex and comprehensive problems aresure to turn up. The most cardinal one is the long-term subsistence of the―Green-heart‖itself.Taking C-Z-T urban agglomeration as a demonstration, this study expands thespatial range and researching field based on current situation of the―Green-heartdemonstration district‖and makes the―Green-heart‖contact with larger and furtherfactors, so as to ensure the continuity with surrounding green spaces, and the linkagewith socio-economic development. Thus the―Green-heart‖is able to growcontinuously along with the expansion of cities.Under this background, a concept of―urban agglomeration green space system‖is proposed. So far until now, there is less such kind of study, which is not limited tourban internal space but undertake a comprehensive planning of cross-city greenspace system. But this type of study, research on regional green space system, willbecome a new key field with the increasing global urbanization and urban collectivetrend.On the whole, a methodological system,―theoretical research-investigativeresearch-demonstrative research‖, is used lengthways and three subjects, landscapeecology, regional economy and urban geography, are included widthways.The first portion, theoretical research, which provides methodologicalfoundation and direction, differentiates and analyzes the concept of green spacesystem of urban agglomeration. Furthermore, an evaluation and analysis system isbuilt in this portion.The second portion, investigative research, joins the theories and practice.With aspecial reference to C-Z-T district, a flock of details are collected and a spatialdatabase is build. This portion plays the role which links the preceding with the following.The third portion, demonstrative research, which is the extension, applicationand verification of other parts, presents a quantitative analysis on the natural andcultural factors affecting the green space system pattern. According to the results, thesuggestions of green space system in C-Z-T urban agglomeration are concluded.What is more, it is the maximum part of all.Centered on―urban agglomeration green space system‖and based on ArcGIStechnology platform, this thesis integrates spatial information technology with multi-disciplinary theories and methods, generalizes a set of theoretical research systemand put it to realistic use. In sum, the study has both theoretical and practicalsignificance.
