Tongdao Dong Village Of Architecture’s Style Of Protection And Inheritance Research

Traditional architectural culture is slowly nibbled and assimilated under the background of globalization, lossing its regional characteristics, cultural connotation and social values.under such circumstances, some kinds of theoretical research and practical activities have been started by architectural researchers. However, The protection and development of the unique traditional buildings carrying rich history informations are inevitablely still suffering modern culture shock, facing the crisis of unsystematic, lawlessness and disordering development.As the research object of This paper Tongdao county has a great deal of dong buildings with great Cultural heritages and rich historical informations. But the local protection, development and Planning of these local cultural heritages are relatively backward. After the research of the Tongdao county the author of this paper has analyzed and proposed the following questions:1. How does the Dong traditional architecture coexistence harmoniously with the modern architecture element?2. How to develop and incorporate Dong traditional settlement in modern urban system?3. What social supportation factors do the protection and inheritance of Dong traditional architectural culture need?4. Is it appropriate to renovate, reconstruction or rebuilt the space environment of Dong village in the process of economic development?To solve these problems, the research work carried out as follows:First of all, this paper elaborated the research background, put forward the objectives and the significance of the study. The research status from domestic and abroad, the related theory on protection, inheritance and development is analyzed and put forward five principles:"authenticity" principle,"integrity" principle,"sustainable" principle,"Public participation" principle and "legal" principle to finally establish the research framework of the paper.Ater that the geographical location and historical evolution of Tongdao county is briefly introducted, the types and characteristics of the buildings in Dong village is expounded. Questions is put forwarded on the basis of research in the development of Tongdao county:economic stagnation, low level of urbanization and various crises showing in the traditional architectural and cultural status,such as "modernized" buildings, confusion of spatial environmental plannings, etc. The problems above is analysised from the perspective of cultural, economic, technology, management and legal system, etc.Based on this, and to integrate theory with practice, following the ideas and principles of architectural and cultural preservation, heritage and development, five strategies is proposed on the problems of traditional architectural culture in the present of Tongdao county:economic development, public participation, adaptation reform of traditional dwellings, settlement space environment development and heritage strategy of architectural culture.Finally, combine with the relative theory and summarized strategic approaches, rectification measures is proposed for all kinds of problems in the protection and inheritance process of the "Dong architectural art museum"—Yutou village.This paper Followed the way of the point-to-face to seek the patterns suitable for the protection, heritage and development of national traditional architectural culture from the study of Tongdao county traditional architectural styles. And thereby increase consciousness of national traditional area residents and managers in order to conserve and handed down these precious heritages.
