Expression Of Traditional Culture Elements In The Landscape Of Modern Urban Park

During the course of modern society production rapid development, some Traditional Chinese Culture has became gradually westernized and lost its luster. As precious Chinese Cultural heritages, Traditional Culture Elements should not be ostracized from our life blindly, but maintain the quintessence development. We must start from the reality and gear it to the future, select excellent part with purpose, search for the reasonable correspondences of Traditional Culture Elements and modern society. Integrate Traditional Culture in the life of our contemporaries, and give rise to a new Chinese Culture form.This dissertation based on the in-depth study and analysis of the theory about Traditional Culture elements and urban park. First of all, we should deal with the relationship between Traditional Culture elements and contemporary urban park, analyze the important role of Traditional Culture elements in urban park, discusses the potential problem. Then investigate the way of how to express Traditional Culture elements, three forms have been summarized, philosophies for the design also been described. Techniques and carrier are also been detailed classification and some relevant examples are prepared. At last, take Hefei Hanlin Hundred-grass Garden Landscape Design as an example, illustrate how to incorporate the spirit of Traditional Culture into modern landscape design, and have formed a beautiful garden with unique culture connotation.As a native culture, the philosophical thoughts and artistic features in Traditional Culture have significant importance in landscape design of modern urban park. Hopefully the summary about techniques will have some practical value and attract more attention on this research.
