Eco-driving plays an important role in the effective way to reduce the fuel consumptionand emissions of the buses. The “Research on Intelligent Monitoring and ManagementTechnology based on Eco-driving of LPG Bus”(abbreviated to ESVMS), aiming atimproving the buses fuel economy and environmental protection, is one of the most importantresearch direction in the area of road transportation energy at present. For the bad drivinghabits and behavior in the course of the current bus transportation cause the problem of largeconsumption of fuel and emissions at home and abroad, the thesis purposes to develop theESVMS, researching on the LPG buses in Guangzhou and targeting optimal fuel economyand environmental protection.The thesis represented the vital role of the ESVMS on improving the bus fuel economy,introduces the situation of eco-driving and related monitoring systems study at home andabroad. Based on “Fuel economy calculation model”, the LPG buses fuel consumptionmodels were developed,studied of the factors affecting bus fuel consumption and eco-drivingprinciple. Based on these,aiming at the lowest fuel consumption, using the Matlab/Simulinkcomputer simulation software, established2-parameter-controlled fuel-economy shiftingschedule and dynamic3-parameter-controlled optimal fuel-economy shifting schedule, theoptimal fuel-economy gear and depth of accelerator pedal under different road gradient,acceleration, constant velocity, deceleration. And put forward the “light throttle pedal travel”,“dynamic3-parameter-controlled, high gear combinations shift”,“low speed”,“suitable watertemperature”,“normal tire pressure” in eco-driving strategy and its regulatory approach. Builtup a united simulation model of the LPG bus based on Simulink、Cruise, High fuel-economicshifting schedule is simulated by the simulation model, the feasibility of the schedule and itseffectiveness to fuel economy and environmental protection of transit bus were verified.According to the configuration structure and control theory of the ESVMS system, theESVMS system’s software and hardware are designed.Finally, the ESVMS test system is builds up to carry out control properties test,validatedthe effectiveness of the control method and effect on the enforceability of the experimental system to the eco-driving strategy.
