Early disease problem of the Asphalt Pavement has been a hot research topic ofroad workers. China is a country of many hills so there is a lot of long-step-slopeasphalt pavement. Besides, overloading of heavy vehicles is very serious. Thus, earlydisease especially rutting is more common. With the investigated statistics of the highway diseases in YuQian, this articlestudied about the characteristics of disease on the long-steep-slope road, especially theinfluences of slope and slope length on the rutting. According to the analysis of thetime-temperature equivalent characteristics this article analyzed and calculated therelationship between the speed and the equivalent temperature in typical roadconstruction. By analyzing the climbing features of vehicles recommended standard oflong-step-slope roads has been proposed.Based on the theory of heat conduction, the paper introduced the method tocalculate the road temperature field and established finite element model. By the use ofsoftware this article simulated the creep feature of roads and calculated the laws of thedistribution of rut under the influence of the temperature field. By the use of thesoftware Bisar3.0, the paper calculated the shearing stress in the road structure and thenanalyzed the influence of the horizontal force to the maximum shearing stress and theposition.According to the existing research results, the paper briefly introduced themodification mechanism and process of rubble modification asphalt. This articlechoose and regulate the reasonable aggregate gradation by the method of uniformdesign. The paper used the GTM method which based on the function for mixturedesign and did the Marshall test on the asphalt mixture AC-13and rubber modifiedasphalt mixture AC-13. The results showed that the rubber modified asphalt mixture hasmany advantages such as small porosity and big density. Through the evaluation of theperformance of the two mixtures we can see that the rubber modified asphalt mixturenot only improved the low-temperature crack resistance of the asphalt mixture but alsogreatly improved its high-temperature stability. By the use of aging life model proposedby SHRP, the paper evaluated the aging characteristic of the asphalt mixture. Testsshowed that rubber modified asphalt mixture have a good aging characteristic.
