The yaw control system of wind turbine takes the strategy that is active to wind, it whether yaw depends on the vane angle which is installed on nacelle’s rear. Then the yaw control system regulates the position of rotor for windward at all time to achieve maximum wind energy and reduce load. It’s a necessary problem that how to improve the accuracy for windward and power. Summarizing the composition and function of the yaw system to analyzing the control theory of the yaw system. For the disadvantage of the vane control strategy, this thesis proposes two solutions. The yaw control system executes power-speed controller that the yaw angle is within15°, the vane control strategy can’t play a role within the region to optimize the traditional vane control.This thesis mainly bases on the principles of the accuracy for windward and yaw control system strategy, the major work is summarized as follows:1. Modeling, simulation and proposing the optimization program the controller1that only play a role without15°. Controller1is a logic controller, Determining the reference date of the yaw movement depends on vane measurement precision and experience. Optimization controller1with two aspects:Firstly, compensating yaw tilting angle to correct the measurement error with the rotor rotating and improve the accuracy for windward; secondly, investigating local wind resources and studying wind direction distribution to set a group of delay time for yaw movement for reducing the frequency of yaw and the load of the wind turbine.2. Modeling, simulation and analyzing the controller2that only plays a role within15°. Controller2is a power-revolving speed controller based on hill-climbing algorithm. Considering the impacts for the change of the yaw angle with the wind turbine together to keep track of the optimal generator speed, judge the yaw how to act, seek to maximize the power. The wind turbine model includes rotor aerodynamic and mechanical, as well as pitch controller and torque controller.3. The feasibility and effectiveness of the new controller have been proved from the reduction of the load, the increasing of the power, the simplicity and economy of hardware implementation.
