Xinjiang is our country and the world’s most serious one of the arid areas, it located in central Asia continent, away from the ocean. As the rapid development of social economy, the ecological environment facing huge pressure, that is a very prominent contradiction of resource and energy supply and economic development.There is serious waste of natural resources in landscape construction, lacks macroscopic planning, follow suit popular, know one-sided, go against nature, don’t pay attention to long-term effects, construction supervision, insufficient late caused by poor maintenance waste for bad phenomenon, that deviation from the our country landscape construction sustainable development direction.We put forward the of "the intensive landscape architecture" slogan of development, to keep our social and economic sustainable and good development, in the construction of the cities in our country. So, it will have a special meaning of the intensive landscape of city development and research in the natural environment of the increasingly prominent today.The landscape development standards have improved greatly, and the ecological environment and living environment continuous optimization and city change obviously, ecological environment construction and urban sustainable development got great progress since the great development of the west in Xinjiang. As the research object of the intensive landscape architecture of Xinjiang landscape, on the basis of an analysis of the literature material research "the intensive landscape architecture", sustainable development, and for the intensive landscape architecture landscape construction have guiding role theory. And then analyzes from water saving and saving material of three aspects of the intensive landscape elements, by comprehensive function landscape energy saving, to research of green land planning and design theory, principles and technical measures with the intensive landscape architecture.At last, this paper explained the research achievements and deficiency were, and made prospect of green land planning and design of the intensive landscape architecture.
