Classroom buildings is one kind of important public buildings. There are so many students use it and they are less on saving themselves. So it can be sure that a large number of students and teachers killed or injured due to lack of earthquake-resistant capacity unless we improve the overall disaster prevention capacity of school premises and ensure them to be safest place, Study from the nearly earthquakes:Wenchuan and Yushu.We must ensure that the calamity never happen again. In April2009, the State Council officially launched the national safety project of school buildings in primary and secondary schools (the State Council Document No.[2009]34), conducting safety investigation, seismic evaluation and strengthening works in primary and secondary schools nationwide to improve the overall disaster prevention capacity so that the seismic standard of school premises could reach that of key projects and fortifications, namely:To improve the overall disaster prevention capacity of school premises and ensure them to be the safest place.This paper, based on the investigation report of seismic survey and appraisal of the number of ten primary and secondary school buildings in Hefei and Anqing of Anhui Province, firstly reviews and sums up several common and typical reinforced concrete frame structures, conducts the finite element analysis and analyzes deeply seismic performance of reinforced concrete frame structures in different structures (such as energy-consumption supporting components structure and concrete supporting structure as well as the seismic performance of short shear wall of reinforced concrete frame structure). Then it examines collapse-resistance capacity of structures of different reinforced concrete frame structures according to their displacement and interstory drift ratio analytic results via finite element software of Sap2000. Finally, combined with the total cost of elementary and middle school buildings, it puts forward reasonable proposal of cost performance for building earthquake-resistance structure of reinforced concrete frame structure of primary and secondary school buildings.
