The conical connection structure is mainly used for the sealing of the high-pressure medium; the sealing principle is using plastic deformation of the metal to form a closed seal ring in the sealing contact surface. Although the conical connection structure is widely used in engineering practice, but for the design of structural parameters is mainly relying on experience, there is no well-established analysis methods and reliable design theory to guide the practical engineering application.Parameter design is not reasonable and parts form and position error uncertainty to seal brought difficulties, in order to solve the sealing problem of the conical connection structure, Based on the numerical simulation method, depth study of the conical coupling structure sealing performance. Be aimed at the braking system conical connection structure of seal failure problems were improved design, the research results to similar seal structure design has certain practical significance, and will greatly promote research-independent and innovation ability of our country’s automotive industry. This paper mainly focuses on three important aspects as follows:1) The use of finite element software ANS YS, numerical analysis of the conical coupling structure sealing performance, get relation curve of inner cone angle of the bell-mouth, thickness of the bell-mouth, round corner of the bell-mouth, outer diameter of the convex plate and the sealing surface contact pressure, horn equivalent stress, in order to meet seal, the above parameters reasonable value range.2) Simulation analysis to coaxial error and profile error on the bell-mouth, get relation curve of coaxial error and profile error and the sealing surface contact pressure, horn equivalent stress, based on the sealing principle, determine the different torque allowed coaxial error and the profile error range.3) On the basis of previous research and analysis, through the central composite design of experiment, the establishment of a mathematical model of the structural parameters and the sealing performance, finally using multi objective function optimization method, combined with MATLAB search tools for analysis, determine the optimal sealing performance, the values of the structural parameters, so as to achieve the improved design of the conical connection structure.
