Automotive driveline is the important part of the automobile chassis, it can deliver power from the engine to the wheels effectively, change speed and torque by changing the ratio, and let each road wheel turn at its own speed when it is necessary. Study of vehicle driveline directly affects the automotive performance parameters like dynamic, stability and fuel economic characters. With the continual development of Chinese automobile industry, there are tens of millions of new vehicle drive on road every year, problems like energy shortages and environment pollution become worse, so it is imperative for us to drive the research on fuel economy and transmission efficiency in automotives. The vehicle driveline is the most main link power transmission, it is important to research on the efficiency of power train. This paper made out the test project by using orthogonal experiment design, carried our experiment on transmission efficiency test-bed, obtained experimental data and analysis results. The research results can give suggestions for improvements of mini vehicle driveline, and give a beneficial basis for design on new car and existing ones. This paper mainly focuses on five important aspects as follows:Design a special test stand for the miniature automotive driveline. According to the Experimental research and the needs of users, design a closed test stand based on AC Electric Dynamometer. Referring to the domestic and international testing equipments, It provides the functions of energy feedback. It adopts a modularized flexible design concept, so that the device can be adapted to the changes of the subjects, the completion of various types, different arrangement of transmission system testing.Formulation of mini vehicle transmission system efficiency test scheme, and builds the transmission efficiency test. According to the experimental study, developed a set of test scheme, based on the orthogonal experiment design method, relevant national and industry standards, have certain theoretical support. In order to save the investment of experiment, the test process is divided into primary factors choose and transmission system efficiency test, considering test index, factor level, test equipment, test methods, safeguard measures, can effectively complete the mini vehicle transmission system efficiency test task.Complete transmission system efficiency test data processing and result analysis. According to the factors of primaries and transmission efficiency of test scheme, completed the factors of primary test data visual analysis, completed the transmission efficiency variance analysis of test data. Through the experimental data interaction analysis, completed the impact of transmission efficiency among various factors coupling problem research.Through the study of this paper verifies the efficiency test of transmission system and the feasibility of the scheme, verifies the design of drive system test bench with good performance, high accuracy and with the transmission system efficiency test ability.
