It otfen encounters the composition of solid particles and liquid phase flow problem inengineeirng, chemical industry, industiral transport and environmental science. Among them,the water sediment lfow and the separation of water sediment in the water mechanical designmust handle the key issue, because of increasing awareness of environmental protection,water treatment has drawn increasing attention. Numerical simulation of sediment lfow modelshould belong to the scope of two-phase lfow in two-phase separation of the theoreticalmodel.In this thesis empirical model based on different size of solid particles of sand in thewater movement and the mathematical model and expeirmental research. In the application offluid mechanics theory, the model calculated using Lagrange and Euler method,whichdeduced the control of two-phase flow equations systematically,based on two-phase flowmodel and its calculated using the MATLAB sotfware to simulate the mathematical model. Inexpeirmental studies, designed a system model-water jet sand collector model for study,which used for water and sediment of different particle size separation. This model worksaround the system and structural design, detailed process modeling,and it focuses on theHydrocyclone process fluid flow and solid patricles movement. Simulation results arecompared with the experimental data to verify the relevant model reliability and accuracy,optimizing the collector structure and improve the separation efifciency of collection of greatsigniifcance.
