Hydrocyclone is a kind of equipment to achieve solid a liquid mixture separation and classification.CFD numerical simulation is used in order to improve the separation efficiency of hydrocyclone,and macro analysis of hydrocyclone separation processes in this paper to solve the existing of theoretical and technical problems.The process simulation analysis of the performance of hydrocyclone separation based on coupled CFD-DEM helped a lot in a micro-reaction cyclone of the movement of sand particles.Combined with the experiment and the laser particle size instrument test,the following main results were obtained.1.By using multiphase flow modelthis,This paper mainly focused on the influence of structure parameters,external conditions(pressure,flow rate)and sediment characteristics(particle diameter,specific gravity,concentration)on the hydraulic characteristics and sediment handling capacity of hydrocyclone.The results show that the influence of overflow port diameter on the flow field is maximum,and the concentration is the most significant.2.Based on the simulation and analysis of the sand particles in the process of CFD-DEM coupling,The simulation results show that the smaller of sand size,the closer distance running down,more easily uprising from downward trend to upstream,and more difficult to be separated.The particles of 40?m in diameter,sand peak appears in the interface of cylinder and cone and separation effect of sands is easily to be affected.But for the particles of 50?m and 60?m,sand peak appears in cone part and sands have a better separation effect.Through tracking single sand and sand group,can find sands almost stay in circular motion in cylinder.In cone part,sands not only stay in circular motion but also obviously run in line movement when they enter in sand settling.Analyzing the moving pattern and distribution of single sand and sand group give us a microscopic method to understand separation efficiency,which can provide an effective research method for the further study of the performance of the hydrocyclone.3.According to the particle size distribution test of the experimental samples,experimental study on the influence of external environment on separation performance of Hydro cyclone and the results of numerical simulation.The results show that the larger the particle size i s,the more obvious effect on the separation effect is.
