With the development of the IC industry, the design of IC and micro-controlcontinues to progress, which provides the necessary condition for the development ofmotor control. Digital motor control is the main direction.The rapid development of electronic technology and the improvement of modernmotor control theory, the implementation of the motor controller, also propose higherand higher requirements. The basic requirements of control system is reliability andreal-time. At the beginning, the motor controllor are based on analog circuitry ofdiscrete components. With the development of the electronic technology along,frequency control technology which base on PWM has been widely used in motorcontrol.After analyze the C24XDSP series which belong to TI and HC908MRx serieswhich belong to MOTOROLA. Base on this, independently developed a high-precisionmotor controller based on the SPARC V8processor. The digital motor controller isconstituted by SPARC V8, as well as flexible event management unit (EventManagement), watchdog, the JTAG interface. In this article, the event managementunit in motor controller can not only generate the PWM waveform, also can bedead-time control to the PWM waveform, and includes the capture module for externalsignal and QEP module. This article completed the design work on the eventmanagement unit. This article shows the verification waveform of the EV, and beverified by FPGA experimental board. So, the design is proven to satisfy the designrequirements.
