The interactions among various elements promote thechanging space of city and urban upgrade. Based on analysis of the data, the development ofspatial structure of Shijiazhuang city can be sorted into five stages, such as the stage ofpunctual formation, ribbon extension, stabilized development around stretch axis, thebreakthrough extension, internal filling. The spatial structure of city has transferred from the"single center" to the "one center with more groups". At present, the specific performances ofthe spatial structure present some new developments, such as the layout of the town, thestructure of main traffic lines, the functional structure of city. There are many problems in thespatial structure of Shijiazhuang city, such as the city traffic is still not perfect and theindustry layout of city is not reasonable. Here we try to find out some useful schemes in orderto improve the spatial structure of Shijiazhuang city, such as the optimization of the trafficsystem, the industry layout, and the urban external spatial tensile fore. In order to realize thesustainable development of Shijiazhuang and enhance the competitiveness, we want to makesome analysis of the transportation structure of urban space, the urban economic structure,and the urban external spatial tensile fore so as to evaluate the potential direction of the futuredevelopment of Shijiazhuang city. We could adopt some certain optimize measures, such as get the right orientation of the city and strive to create the third pole of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebeimetropolis circle, construct the urban agglomeration around the provincial capital; givepriority to Shijiazhuang city and try to grasp the initiative development; hold the key link andpay attention to improving the urban competitiveness and radiation; enhance the city centreand participate in the globalization; take advantage of competitiveness and carry out theimplementation of the industry reconstruction; expand the opening to the outside world andimprove the environment of investment; improve the urban innovation and actively constructinformation city; protect the ecological environment, and construct a harmony homeland, etc.
