Reseach On The Movable Test Equipment For Railways Vehicle Generator

In order to meet the requirements of passengers’riding quality, Ministry of Railways put away all kinds of new type passenger trains and many new equipments apply in the passenger trains, such as inverter, battery charger, set implement, oxygenator and so on. However, so far a lot of22,25B type passenger trains which use48VDC power supply are still used in the railway. Their power supply system uses J5generator power supply system. J5generator power supply system of every coach is linked together through end of train connector, forming the power supply system of the whole train and it can supply power for all kinds of electric equipments. Because of J5generator power supply system is extremely important to ensure the passenger train running normally, the Ministry of Railways formulates specifications, technical conditions and test requirements at different levels to ensure J5generator power supply normal use and maintenance.Every vehicle departments have the responsibility to overhaul J5generator power supply system. There are a lot of J5generator power supply systems need to be repaired. J5generator power supply system is repaired in the servicing chamber of the depot. The large pulley on the end of the axle can’t drive J5generator power supply system because the train can’t move in the serving chamber. It can’t test after installed on vehicle. So it can’t be confirmed whether work normally or not. It can’t be judged whether J5generator power supply system connects with other parts correctly. It also can’t check whether all the equipments of train are working normally. After the train getting out the depot, these hidden troubles extremely cause J5generator power supply system to break down when the train running. If it happens, there is the risk of power failure of the whole train.The problems of J5generator power supply system in the view of actual application are surveyed in this paper. Combined with operation environment, working condition and tools in serving chambers of passenger train, the method of solving the above problems is summarized. The solution is to set up the movable test equipment which is used to J5generator power supply system test. The movable test equipment contains a movable cart, mechanical lifting mechanism, control computer, dragged motor and a coupler which connects to J5generator power supply system. This equipment can control speed of the dragged motor to simulate the train running condition, meanwhile display the related operating state. This thesis makes a detailed analysis of all parts.Field trial showed the movable test equipment can test J5generator power supply system before the train left serving chamber. Make sure the train power supply system safety and ensure the passenger train running absolutely safety.
