Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of China economy, the number of motor vehicles is rapidly increasing in the city. However, the urban space resources is limited, the problem of parking is becoming more and more serious. Currently, parking management system is generally not high degree of intelligence focuses on time charge function, drivers want to stop often need someone to guide to find a free parking spaces or own full field. In order to achieve the rapid automated detection and queries of the parking empty spaces, correction and stitching of parking image based on feature point characteristics is proposed. A large field image describing comprehensively the parking information is a mosaic of images, captured by adjacent cameras, of certain repeat regions to detect empty spaces. And pictures show vertical distortion and horizontal distortion due to the camera perspective and perspective effects. The panoramic image of the parking lot is a mosaic of all parking, corrected in the same perspective, for display of information of each parking occupied or not and for management of vehicle. Experimental results show that the algorithm is convenient for users to directly observe empty spaces, and it is conducive to process images further for automatic detection of the parking space.Firstly this article has a brief overview of image stitching technology research significance and research status, then detailed introduced the key technology of image registration and image fusion. The paper mainly uses the image registration and image stitching technology based on feature point characteristics and have a in-depth research and analysis the matching technology based on SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) feature points and SURF (Speeded Up Robust Features) feature point, and propose a detection method of feature point based on Harr and Sobel operator. Firstly coarse matching uses nearest neighbor matching based on the Euclidean distance ratio, and the use of sampling consistency RANS AC algorithm transformation matrix of the matching points carried calculated for inevitably exist mismatching in this process to achieve the transformation of the coordinates of the reference image and the image to be matched. Image fusion mainly uses a fade-out transition algorithm. Taking into account the color and brightness differences that may exist between two images, the need for the chrominance compensation to achieve a smooth and seamless suture is proposed. Correction and stitching of parking image based on feature point characteristics, which is used to achieve rapid automatic detection of parking spaces, is proposed in parking situation. Firstly correct the picture whose edge is seriously deformed one by one, after that, take advantage of the feature point characteristics to splice images. Experimental results demonstrate that the method is rapid and effective. After splicing images, it’s convenient and quick for the customers to look for parking space. At the same time, it’s helpful for further image processing and the realization of automatic parking spaces detection.
