As one of the most important parts in the cooling system of construction vehicle,radiator plays a decisive role in the characteristics and operating state of vehicle subsystems.Therefore, optimizing the radiator performance and reducing costs has the importantpractical significance. At the same time, the design of the cooling system of the vehicle isdirectly related to the economy, reliability and emissions performance. So the enginecompartment flow field optimized design has become one of the priorities of the numericalanalysis of construction vehicles. In this paper some performances of commonly used offsetstrip fin radiator of construction vehicle and construction vehicle group are analyzed,including the heat transfer performance of hot and cold fluid side fin, the structureoptimization of radiator and radiator group performance.Firstly, this paper investigates numerical model of fin micro channel by usingFLUENT code. Combined with the experimental correlation, we have great knowledge ofthe information about the model. In detail, this paper researches on the offset strip fin heattransfer performance and resistance characteristic performance, based on geometricparaeters: fin height, fin thickness, fin pitch, wrong tooth length, etc. On the other hand, thispaper does research on the hot and cold fluid state, which has effect on the radiator heattransfer performance and resistance characteristic performance.Secondly, with adopting engine compartment cooling system of research object andanalyzing effects by the radiator sealing performance and the pitch, the study obtainsconclusion: Sealed coolant radiator and transmission oil cooler, the heat transferperformance of transmission oil cooler radiator was improved, the performance of the othertwo radiators heat transfer was bad; with the radiator pitch increases, the heat transferperformance of hydraulic oil radiator works normally, the heat transfer performance ofcoolant radiator gets better, but the heat transfer performance of transmission oil radiator gets worse.Thirdly, using engine compartment cooling system with inner radiator as theoreticalbasis,this paper establishes the mathematical optimization model which the objectivefunction are the heat exchanger radiator and air pressure loss, besides, optimization methodadopts the multi-objective genetic algorithm. Users can adjust the target function and theconstraint function in accordance with what they need.According to the results after the hydraulic oil radiator is optimized, not only consumptionhas been effectively controlled, the radiator performance has been improved obviously.Finally, this paper studies on the flow field distribution mathematical model of enginecompartment of a certain type loader. According to the actual conditions, with the boundaryconditions what we need to calculate, we analysis the overall flow field characteristics of acertain type loader. Simultaneously, the improvement schemes based on the radiator moduleanalysis and radiator structure optimization are proposed,and the improvement of theeffects are evaluated.
