The human will be faced with energy shortage and environment pollution problems in21st century. In recent years, in the renewable energy field wind and photovoltaic power generation are developing fast, while photovoltaic power generation is the fastest growing area after wind power generation. With the promotion of distributed photovoltaic power generation technology, PV off-grid power generation techniques have been used in more and more application fields.On the basis of analysis and summary of PV industry at home and abroad, this paper has conducted comprehensive research on the PV off-grid power generation system. The paper firstly analyzes the output characteristic of the photovoltaic cell components, and charging and discharging characteristics of battery, then proposes and designs a solar charge controller with Maximum power point tracking(MPPT) function and constant current/voltage charging function which improves the utilization of PV cells. And then, this paper mainly introduces the design of single phase full bridge inverter. On the basis of inverter mathematical model, the paper analyses the effect of current inner-loop and voltage outer loop. Then the parameters of these double loops have been designed. Further more, a improved double-loop method has been proposed which has stronger ability of driving non-linear load.At last, a24V/10A solar charge controller and a2kVA off-grid inverter have been designed. The experimental results show that the design schemes are feasible.
