For the purpose of flexible and reliable power supply, it is needed to open and close the switchs timely to reconfigurate the network and to isolate the obstacles when the load changes or fails, so as to ensure the economic and safe operation of distribution network. Distribution network reconfiguration has been become an effective operating mode of optimizing the network. Thorough researchs have been conducted in distribution network reconfiguration at home and abroad, but for complex distribution network, the current methods are not efficient and fast to get the global optimal solution.With the rapid proliferation of distributed generation technologies, the photovoltaic power generation system which output is random and intermittent directly connect to distribution networks, that brings many new challenges on the operation and control of distribution networks but also directly affects the decisions and final results of network reconstruction.A new method for distribution networks reconfiguration based on group search optimizer (GSO) is proposed in this paper. In the population, the individual with minimal network loss is chosen as the discoverer, and the remainders are chosen as entrants and stragglers respectively. During the searching, the local physical search of discoverer is perfomed by quick branch-exchange method, and the entrants keep closing to the discoverer step by step to carry out the following search in the solution space. The proposed method realizes satisfied coordination of global search with local search, thus the searching effeciency is improved and a better global convergency is implemented; By bring in the stochastic model of photovoltaic power generation system and scenario analysis theory, scene model of distribution network reconfiguration with PV generation is established. In this model, the optimization goal is the minimum expected value of active power loss under the typical scenarios, which considering the output of photovoltaic power generation system with different levels, having an effect on distribution network reconfiguration.Finally, the GSO algorithm were applied to the network reconfiguration of PG&E69-bus system. The results show that the method can obtain the global optimal solution, and have better convergence rate and algorithm performance. And connect a photovoltaic array in the distribution system, simulated output characteristics of photovoltaic power generation system based on irradiance data, verify the effectiveness of the scene model of distribution network reconfiguration with PV generation.
