With the development of virtual simulation technology, The R&D of automotiveproducts becomes more and more dependent on the computer. For passenger vehicles, inorder to reduce the risk of product development, using digital prototyping to advance thesimulation of vehicle ride comfort and optimizat its parameters, is very necessary andeffective before the prototype manufacturing. However,at present the research on the ridecomfort of the vehicle generally uses multi-body dynamics method, and takes littleconsideration of car body flexible analysis or directly uses multi-body dynamics method tosimulate it approximately. It will lead to make differences between the simulationparameters and the actual situation. So, to research the simulation model for vehiclerigid-elastic coupling systems has theoretical significance and practical value inengineering.Through the research of domestic and foreign articles and writings relating vehicleride comfort, this article summed up the vehicle ride comfort of rigid-flexible couplingvirtual evaluation method. And using a mini bus virtual model simulation and optimizationadvances the ride comfort of the vehicle virtual evaluation.Firstly, based on the multi-body system dynamics software which namedMSC.ADAMS in automotive special analysis module ADAMS/Car, I build up multi-bodysystem dynamics simulation subsystem including the establishment of the Mcphersonindependent front suspension model, engine model, vehicle model, the steering systemmodel, tire model, the chassis model and multi pulse road model, and so on. At the sametime, using the finite element software Hyperworks to create multiple leaf spring flexiblefile import ADAMS/CAR, then compose of non independent rear suspension modelsubsystem with the rear axle and shock absorber. And all the subsystems are assembledinto a rigid-flexible coupling vehicle model.Secondly, making the mini bus physical prototype has a ride vehicle road test.Throughcomparing with the simulation parameters and test results, it proveds the accuracy of ridecomfort simulation virtual prototype.Finally, considering the impact of the ride performance of vehicle suspensionparameters, I use ADAMS to optimize rigid-flexible coupling model of vehicle suspensionparameters.And according to international standards in the automotive ride comfortevaluation method of simulation model, I comparise the suspension parameters analysis of the ride comfort optimizition before and after. The results show which after theoptimization of suspension parameters of mini passenger car ride comfort is remarkablyimproved.
