Study On Creating Residence Communities According To The Sense Of Place

Modern architects have more experience and opportunity than the predecessors onnational and international design, as long as their unique architectural style with a much fasterway to communication nowadays. If say our building is becoming more and more and theformation of building local and overall relationship, forming the construction connotation andperception of basic concepts are isolated, so the spirit of place to elaborate is one ofconstruction and overall, architecture and connotation of philosophy. Facing the challengeformed by the most changeful land, culture, climate and their urban environment, it hasbecome an important task on how to make architecture rooted in the field.In the residential building, also relates to the building of the phenomenon of dailyexperience. However, the current residential area planning and architectural problems reflectthe more and more isolated relatioship between the residential architecture, people’s daily lifeand their experience. This article elaborated from three aspects based on the place-makingdesign concept for the design of residential area effects of practice: from reality to the theory,from the phenomenon to the phenomenon of the design method by the summary of thesuccessful case on practice, and then to a new design concept. Writing in accordance with theorder " Theory--examples--Method--idea" logic.The second chapter, is based on the Norberg-Schulz place theory, to introduce andexplain the location, structure of place and place spirit concept.The third chapter, to explain the design ideas from the perspective of place making,citing the Chongqing Tianjing28project, the Guangzhou Jindi Lihu City project andShenzhen Vanke project of17miles.The fourth chapter, based on the practice of planning and architecture design in XikouResidence of Zhifu islet in Yantai City, to analysis on site unique humanities, geography andlandscape resource, in according to " Imagery--space--characteristic " design logic, thearchitectural layout and landscape resource combination and the combination of the buildingtype and topography with the summary of site to site design method.The fifth chapter, extended from the fourth chapter, to explore design methods anddesign principles on the basis of the concept of space construction in residential district. It cannot only inherit the traditional, classic architectural concept, but also make new vitality on the different places, according to the real world of constant change and behavior of peopleexperience by architects.This paper records from2010onwards. Since then, I have participated in the designprocessing and its outcoming of Xikou residential project of Zhifu islet in Yantai City.According to each unique venues and places, we had mainly responsed to the theme of thebuilding. By means of establishing the specific historical and venue of the same function andsocial factors combine, the architectural layout and landscape resource combination, thebuilding type and topography in combination, we’d refined the connotation of architecture.
