The function of modern product tends to be stable, however, customers put in higher claim for products’quality and response performance. Performance design of product involves in a number of disciplines and fields, multi-level. Configuration design driven by performance is the important way and method to meet the performance requirements. The problem of decoupling performance is deeply studied from the technology configuration design driven by performance. Product configuration model based on element theory, based on extension case based reasoning driven by performance, a conflict resolution method based on extension transformation in the process of product configuration, and conduction knowledge mining of performance are put forward. Finally, configuration design system for large screw air compressor by conduction knowledge mining of performance is developed combined with research and development technology and methods.The main research content of the full text is as follows:Firstly, extension element theory is introduced. Product extension configuration design element which integrated knowledge of multi-disciplinary; the configuration reasoning model by relationship matter element of extension configuration design is set up. Product case database which is easy to modify and add is developed by implication relationships between product hierarchy model and product extension configuration design element.Secondly, improved extension from the side similar case retrieval method of case based reasoning is put forward. According to fuzziness and similarity retrieval defects of performance requirement, a similarity measure is developed using the improved side-distance in extension theory. Compared the similarity retrieval algorithm of point to the interval which is improved, improved side-distance in extension theory is easy to accurately capture the customer demand and reliability of similar case retrieval is improved.Thirdly, a conflict resolution method based on extension transformation in the process of product configuration is put forward. Through Condition and target element of performance contradiction model by extension transformation, combined with a variety of solving scheme of affair element and a variety of transform method, resolution mechanism of reducing the problem of coupling relationship and the contradiction in the process of configuration design is seek. Strategy of eliminate contradiction in the process of configuration design is given.Fourthly, the method of performance conduction knowledge mining is put forward. Through mining changes of product performance related parameter data in product extension configuration design element by extension transformation, the transmission knowledge of performance and the assigned parameters is achieved and conduction relationship between product performances is generated. It includes extraction of performance information element after transformation, and conduction performance characteristics are obtained by threshold. Performance conduction influence is described quantitatively by conductivity. Extension classification knowledge is obtained by performance correlation function after conduction transformation. Configuration rules which obtained guidance configuration process driven by performanceFinally, combining the theory by technology and methods which is put forward, configuration design verification system of large screw air compressor by performance conduction knowledge mining is developed. And it also validates the system’s feasibility primarily.
