Ecological Architecture Design is a process of solving complicatedcontradictions, among which have very large amount of data and knowledge. Underthe condition of the transformation, these data will be changed accordingly. What'smore, the changes of data are the key to solve the problem of contradiction in theEcological Architecture Design. Using the theory and method of Extension DataMining, important knowledge can be obtained from these changes of data, whichrelated to solve the contradictions.Extension of Ecological Architecture Design Data Mining (hereinafter referredto as EEADDM) is the Data mining oriented to Ecological Architecture Design. Thispaper combines Extension Data Mining with Ecological Architecture Design,whichaims to build the theory of EEADDM; Establish the process of EEADDM; Proposedthe concrete and operable method of EEADDM.In EEADDM theory, this paper defines the Extension of EcologicalArchitecture Design, and expounds its relationship with architectural design. On thisbasis, the article discusses the structure of the Extension of Ecological ArchitectureDesign database and puts forward the basic concept of EEADDM. Ultimately, thepurpose of EEADDM becomes more clear:to resolve contradiction of naturalelements, to extract geographical elements and to make eco-technology options inEcological Architecture Design.This paper established a basic process of extension knowledge acquisition,which can be described as extension model expression—database building—extension knowledge acquisition. Extension model expression enables the invisibledata dominance and recognized by computer, which will meet the requirements ofstorage at last. Respectively, in the part of database building, Extension ofEcological Architecture Design basic database and knowledge base are introducedand explained. Using extension classification, the extension of conduction andextension cluster knowledge mining method can obtain extension knowledge fromExtension of Ecological Architecture Design basic database. Using the principle andmethod of extenics can acquire extension knowledge from Extension of EcologicalArchitecture Design knowledge base.In method of EEADDM part, to realize the goal of EEADDM mentioned above,extension konwledge mining in eco-climatic database, geographic informationdatabase and eco-bionic knowledge base, which would bring about resolvingcontradiction of natural elements in Ecological Architecture Design. Extensionkonwledge mining in geographical environmental databases, geographical material database and geographical cultural knowledge base?which would achieve the goal toextract geographical elements in Ecological Architecture Design. What's more,extension konwledge mining in "Logistics System" database,"Energy Flow System"database and "Information stream System" technology knowledge base, which wouldmake the goal to make eco-technology options in Ecological Architecture Designcomes true.In this paper, for the first time making Extension Data Mining and EcologicalArchitecture Design combined, not only can improve the Ecological ArchitectureDesign research methodology, but also promote architecture disciplines to generatenew growth points. Research on EEADDM will promote the development of theintelligent computer aided Ecological Architecture Design, more over, it will providenew, scientific theories and application methods for Ecological Architecture Designinnovation.
