The replacement method of the bridge expansion joints can be different from each otherby the traffic volume and the form of structure of the bridge, and the replacementconstruction’s efficiency has direct influence in the social benefits and economicbenefits. Especially in the highway, the replacement or the patching of the expansionjoints usually requires traffic control, because of its high-speed and heavy traffic.Therefore, changing the highway bridge expansion joints quickly while avoidingaffecting the traffic capacity, becomes to be the most urgent technical problem. Thissubject stresses the key technology to change highway bridge expansion joints quickly,established a highway bridge expansion joints damage evaluation system, this paperconcludes the suitable repairing material and the key technology for highway bridgeexpansion joints rapid change.The thesis summed up the highway bridge expansion joints type and the destructionform, illustrates its importance to the bridge structure; analyzed the bridge expansionjoints damage causes in three aspects, includes design, construction and maintenance,analyzed GQF bridge expansion joints mechanics performance specifically; combinedwith the function, estimated the working states of the expansion joints; analyzed thecombination property of the expansion joints and defined the optimum replacementscheme by adopting the analytic hierarchy process and the synthetical sate assessprocess, includes the best time and best way of the replacement, established bridgeexpansion joints damage evaluation system; optimized the materials for the replacementof the highway bridge expansion joints, and according to the comparative experiments,put forward the new materials suitable for highway bridge expansion joints rapid repair;based on the technology of the replacement of the bridge expansion joints, focused onsolving the problem—rapid removing of the broken or disabled adjustable seam and theconstruction of the reserved notch, formed a complete set of design and constructiontechnology in rapid replacement for expansion joints.The achievements in the set of the design and construction technology about rapidreplacement for expansion joints in the thesis reduces the influence of construction ontraffic, avoids bad social effect and economic consequences, it will have a wide range ofengineering application prospect and significant social and economic benefits.
