Gravity Chamber Structure is one of the most common types of lock chamberstructure, its dynamic characteristics are often limited to the gravity lock chamberstructure itself, without taking into account the geotechnical nature of the differences inthe chamber of structural dynamic response. This aspect is still a lack of in-depthscientific research. In this paper, this problem was analyzed.(1)To inspect the relevant documents at home and abroad, the Summary of thisresearch projects in the course of its research methods.(2) Sets out the topics involved in the constitutive model and analyzed to study theconstitutive model of the chamber of structural, geotechnical, and contact elements, andselect their own reasonable constitutive model.(3) Introduces the idea, procedure and method for solving the finite elementmethod to solve the problem.(4) Elaborated on the two problems involved in the actual modeling, artificialboundary conditions and ground motion input problem.(5) Application of the above theoretical analysis, practical engineering, to establisha more reasonable model and calculated analysis of the calculation results and seek thefoundation soil and backfill the nature of the law of gravity chamber of structuraldynamic response.According to the results analysis, the conclusion is as follows:Foundation soil modulus coefficient changes the dynamic response of the gravitylock chamber structure that have a greater impact, changes in the backfill cohesion haveno greater impact on the gravity lock chamber structure dynamic response. In the actualproject, by changing the modulus coefficient of the foundation soil to improve itsdynamic response, and to some extent, and should focus on key parts of the seismic design.
