With the continuous development of electric vehicles, electric vehicles safe driving has become the focus of attention of the people around the world, and the electric vehicle battery management system as one of its three key technologies is also increasingly been the attention of scholars and electric vehicle manufacturers. Three aspects of the battery management system hardware modules, system software and system analysis are studied deeply, and the following several work is compiled:Firstly, the functions of the battery management system are described detailed. According to the functions, which need to be achieved, the article has compiled the modular design of the system. The battery management system is divided into battery control unit (BCU), battery measurement unit (BMU) and high measurement unit (HMU) three subsystems. Battery testing unit cell voltage detector and battery equalization techniques, this paper analyzes several typical methods of detection, based on the results of the analysis are given circuit design. For temperature detection techniques, respectively, the temperature sensor and thermistor acquisition pass the board-level verification. For current detection, and the total voltage detection technology in the high voltage detecting unit, the system uses a Hall device, and to improve detection accuracy. Several typical insulated detection method for insulating detection technology, research exchange method, improved insulation testing to improve systemic.Secondly, as to software design in the battery management system, the article has designed the system embedded software framework and the internal CAN communication. It has also deeply analyzed the design of the drive software, such as the cell voltage detection, current detection, temperature detection and insulation detection driver software. Bootloader program is designed for the micro controller the system uses, to online upgrade system software based on CAN. Additionally, a system monitoring software has designed based on LabVIEW in the article, which is used to monitor various real-time parameters of the battery and process, display, save those parameters. Finally, in order to verify the basic functions of the battery management system, the cell voltage detection, current detection, temperature detection and insulation testing respectively, this paper has structured experimental environment for functional and performance tests. The results show that the system can achieve power battery management system functional and performance requirements.
