| Parasitic disease has threatened people’s health seriously, affected the development ofeconomy, and limited the further improvement of living standards. Traditional killing methodswith drugs would bring side effect to human, make parasites develop resitance to drugs andcause other biological variability. It is necessary to develop a non-drug and convenientmethod to kill parasites from the roots.For the deficiency of existing measures, a new technique using high power square-wavepulsed electric field (PEF) based on the biological effects of electromagnetic fields to kill theparasitic ovum is presented in this paper. PEF is a non-thermal sterilization technology, whichcan destroy cell membrane with proper parameters. It can cause sterilization pasteurizationeffect, which has less damage to the medium quality, and non-toxic effects to theenvironment.First the feasibility of the method is studied, and then the dielectric model of parasiteeggs is formed. Next the mechanism of killing ascaris suum eggs by high voltage pulsedelectric field is discussed. Afterwards the reliability of killing mechanism is proved bysimulation studies. Finally the method is proved to be correct and effective by experiment.This thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter introduced the application ofhigh power square-wave pulsed electric field, discussed biological effects of electromagneticfields, and described the hazards of common parasites, pointed out the study background andthe main contents. The second chapter described the obvious methods of cells and thebiological structure of cells, introduced the importance of the structure of membrane, and thenstudied the dielectric model of biological cells. The third chapter mainly discussed the killingmechanism of high voltage pulsed electric field. The forth chapter made simulation tests ofhigh voltage pulsed electric field, introduced simulation platform, analyzed simulation results.The fifth chapter introduced the killing experiments of high voltage pulse electric field toascaris suum eggs, analyzed experiment results and induced the feasibility of the new method.The last summarized the final conclusions of innovation and shortage and prospected theforeground of killing parasite eggs with high voltage pulsed electric field.The method of using high-voltage pulsed electric field to kill parasite eggs can avoid theshortages of the current methods, can also kill parasite eggs rapidly and clean, cut off thesource of infection from the root. It provided an effective, powerful and green method toprevent and control of parasitic diseases. |
