By modeling parameters of gear, analyzing static and dynamic finite element stress, depending on the application of two tooth profile and tooth modification to the method of modification before and after the contact stress distribution of numerical size and comparative analysis, a clear need for modification. Finally, the Air A-type gears, for example, in the use of ANSYS software while driving wheel and idler wheel tooth profile modification method to determine the optimum amount of dressing.According to various features of the involutes gear, entering parameters for gear modeling can accurately present engagement feature of the involutes gears during the transmission. The paper introduces procedure that creates a parameterization modeling system of the involutes gears by using OPENAPI module design and development feature while applying UG to model as well. This not only improves the accuracy of modeling, but also can greatly enhance the modeling efficiency. That the gears are assembled in size by constraining relief conditions under UG environment and are imported into ANSYS by UG and ANSYS interface technology have resolved the problem of missing data and assembly conditions occurred when gears are imported into ANSYS software in other formats.ANSYS finite element analysis software is used to analyze the static and dynamic finite element analysis simulation for the gear model established. Comparing the maximum value of contact stress calculated by Hertz contact theory with the results gained from static finite element analysis, it is to verify analysis and all operations of finite element software that is applicable for the gears engagement and transmission process; and in accordance with the static and dynamic analyses results to gears by ANSYS, it is some of the law of motion got during the gears engagement and transmission, which gives favorable evidences for the gear modification works.In the process of gears engagement, especially in engaging-in and engaging-out, instantaneous stress on gear face is to prone to prone toprone toappear uneven distribution, rising and dropping drastically and to damage gear organization, therefore, it is necessary to make a proper modification to gears.
